The Top 5 Reasons to Join Tiny Troops Soccer

top 5 reasons to join tiny troops soccer

Toddlers and preschoolers are always on the move. Physical activity helps them build strong bones, muscles, and joints. We want our little ones to begin a lifelong journey of staying active. That’s where Tiny Troops Soccer comes in! Tiny Troops Soccer is a developmental soccer program for ages 18 months to 4 years old. We focus on not only soccer skills, but also basic developmental skills, such as listening and socialization. Our program is a great choice for keeping your little one active, and here are 5 reasons why.

Reason #1: Gross Motor Skills

Our program helps your little one with physical skills. It works on balance and hand-eye coordination. Our youngest Tiny Troopers will focus on body movement, balancing, and the beginnings of hand-eye coordination. They will play games to explore their body’s movements. They will also play games to learn basic soccer skills, like dribbling and trapping the ball. As your child moves through our program, they will build on the basics, focusing on foot-eye coordination. We also introduce more soccer skills, like pullbacks and the Ronaldo Chop. No matter the class, your little one will be moving throughout and getting as many touches on the ball as possible.

Reason #2: Socialization

We want our little ones to be around others their age, and Tiny Troops Soccer provides ample opportunities for your little one to make new friends. Learning how to socialize and get along with others is a key skill within this age group. Our littlest Troopers will find many new friends playing alongside them. Our older Troopers will play games and scrimmages to learn teamwork and sportsmanship. Of course, socialization isn’t just for our Troopers, but for our grownups, too! Many of our parents find a community within our program as they talk to other parents during classes.

Reason #3: Confidence

Our program is designed to build on previous skills as your child moves through our program. We want your little one to feel successful from day one! Our coaches encourage and cheer on their Tiny Troopers as they make new accomplishments, big or small. The developmental skills used in Tiny Troops Soccer help to build the basics needed for recreational league soccer.

Reason #4: Embracing the Joy of Play

Children learn best through play, which is why our program focuses on teaching developmental skills through activities and games. At this age, soccer drills are not beneficial, nor are they the best way for your child to learn to play soccer. Instead, our program features games with the skills built in. So while your child is giggling and playing Hit the Coach, they are also practicing dribbling, controlling the ball, and aiming for a target. Playing Shark Island and avoiding the sharks as they dribble the ball teaches your child control, obstacle avoidance, and to keep their head up. Our coaches bring energy and silliness to the games. Your Tiny Trooper won’t even realize they are learning while playing!

Reason #5: Community

Tiny Troops Soccer was founded by a military spouse and has locations near military bases in the United States and Japan. Many of our coaches are military spouses or dependents. We understand the unique challenges of military life, from PCSing to deployments. These experiences can be tough on both Tiny Troopers and their families. That’s why Tiny Troops Soccer strives to be available at various locations, providing a supportive community. We encourage families to socialize during classes. It helps them bond and navigate both good and tough times together.

Joining Tiny Troops Soccer means more than enrolling your child in a sports program. It means joining a program where your child gets to build their gross motor skills. It means joining a program where they can make new friends and build their confidence as they grow. It means embracing the joy of play and finding a place where they belong. It means joining a family and a community like no other. Join us today and watch your Tiny Trooper thrive!
