Military Life Asks a Lot of Little Kids

Tiny Troops gives children a place to move, play, make friends, and belong. When everything around them changes, Tiny Troops Soccer gives them a familiar space.

Built by a Military Family for Military Families
Tiny Troops Soccer began in Okinawa, Japan, when military spouse and mom Amy Schweizer saw a need for age-appropriate activities that helped young military children connect with their communities. At the time, she was unable to find suitable programs for her young sons. The first Tiny Troops Soccer program, then known as Little Strikers, served just 30 children.
Today, Tiny Troops has reached 30,000+ children across 17 states and Japan while creating flexible, portable employment opportunities for military spouses. Our coaches understand this community because many of them live it themselves.
Tiny Troops isn’t an organization trying to reach military families. We are part of the military-family community.

Their skill in forming connections with the children and establishing a positive atmosphere for learning is truly remarkable. Meet Amy
Amy Schweizer founded Tiny Troops Soccer while living in Okinawa, Japan, as a Marine Corps spouse and mom. What began as a program for 30 children grew from something Amy experienced firsthand: military families need community wherever military life takes them.
More than a decade later, Tiny Troops Soccer has served more than 30,000 children while creating employment opportunities for hundreds of military spouses.
Amy continues to lead Tiny Troops with the same goal that started it: helping military children feel connected, confident, and supported wherever they call home.
